Pedro Patiño García

He is appointed as ESR at NHH, Norwegian School of Economics from 1 May 2010 for 30 months. He will participate in the CLARA subproject Harmonisation of Terminological Resources, which is led by NHH.

His research within the CLARA project is focused on the fields of parallel corpora, computational terminology and phraseology (specialized collocations), with an interest in methods and tools for semiautomatic term and collocation extraction applied to English and Spanish aligned texts from a specialized domain (economics and legal texts), concretely with the official texts of Free Trade Agreements (FTA). He aligned a 2,8 million word specialized parallel corpus with FTA English and Spanish texts.
